Oct. 12, 2017: California wildfires

Dear Wake Forest Alumni, Friends, and Current and Past Parents and Families,

My thoughts and prayers are with Wake Foresters in California as many of you, your loved ones and your neighbors are dealing with the deadly and devastating effects of wildfires. While national media attention is focused on the heartbreaking losses in wine country and the Santa Rosa area, we know there are many places affected — from the Bay Area to the Sierra, from Southern California up to the Oregon border. We are here to support you.

Parents and families in affected areas are encouraged to contact the Office of Family Engagement should the University need to be aware of any extraordinary circumstances affecting their students. The Office of the Dean of Students, University Counseling Center, Office of the Chaplain and Resident Advisers (RAs) are available to listen to students who need to speak with someone here.

As always, our Office of Alumni Engagement is here to assist with the needs of Wake Forest graduates. If we can do anything to support your needs, please contact alumni@nullwfu.edu.

If Wake Forest can do anything to help you, please let us know.

Sincerely,

Nathan O. Hatch
President
