The Wake Forest community has long held an avid commitment to the University’s motto, Pro Humanitate, a commitment manifested by an engagement in public service. That shines through during times of crisis, as Wake Forest has a long tradition of responding to issues in its own backyard and around the world. Recently, campus has mobilized to assist victims of hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and tsunamis, as well as to recognize the sacrifices made during 9/11.
